I didn’t complain or call the front desk because I doubted anything would be done with the hotel being evidently sold out and the great customer service we already encountered. We then were placed in a room with an air conditioner that is barely working and a shower/bath tub with a broken drain. Great customer service with us scrambling to find a place to stay, like it was our fault. I went to my phone and booked the room on Expedia and took them the confirmation and the front desk response was, “I don’t know where we are going to put you”. So my family went across the street to the Hilton and explained what happened and they told us this has regularly been happening with customers coming to them after leaving the Hampton, but then they turned us away because they were booked full. We also offer 347 guestrooms to accommodate your overnight travelers.The hotel features three ballrooms which breakdown to provide up to 20 separate meeting rooms. The hotel features 20 meeting rooms all conveniently located on one level for our guests. The Hampton is under heavy rennovation with active wiring taped to the floor that you have to step over to try to get to the check in hallway. The Hilton Kansas City Airport offers a variety of meeting and banquet rooms to accommodate almost any occasion. We originally were supposed to stay at a Hampton inn, a sister property to Hilton 2 blocks away, and were so disgusted with the that hotel we cancelled our stay in the hotel lobby. ![]()
